Journal Writing Topics 1-10

Journal #1:
Pretend that you have just climbed to the peak of a very tall mountain. When you reach the top there is a mailbox with a journal in it. Every person who makes the hike to the top of the mountain is supposed to write in it. In 5-10 lines write what you would say in this journal.

Journal #2:
In 5-10 lines explain why you agree or disagree with this statement: "Today everyone is treated equally."

Journal #3:
In 5-10 lines describe the meanest thing that you have ever done.

Journal #4:
In 5-10 lines describe where you will be and what your life will be like on 10/20/30.

Journal #5:
In 5-10 lines describe your favorite things about the season of fall.

Journal #6:
Pretend that you have a choice to save someone you love. If you save them you will never see them again. If you don't save them they will die. What would you do? Explain your decision in 5-10 lines.

Journal #7:
Choose a piece of clothing you own that could tell a story (maybe it has been with you for years, or it got lost for a while, or it has been handed down to you, etc.) Tell its story in 5-10 lines.

Journal #8:
The boy or girl of your dreams offers to go steady with you on the condition that you will give up your best friend. In 5-10 lines explain your decision.

Journal #9:
In 5-10 lines describe what a police officer looks like. Describe what a basketball player looks like. What comes to your mind when you think about these two types of people?

Journal #10:
In 5-10 lines describe what you would do if all of the power and phone lines went out for a week. What would you do with your spare time? What would you do for fun?
